St. John Vianney School in Orchard Park announced  that  the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) has named George Kline, a graduate from the school in 1978 as this years Distinguished Graduate of the Year.

He has many fond memories of his days at Saint John Vianney including having gym class in what is now the cafeteria.

George then went on to attend St. Francis High School where he excelled both academically and athletically being named to the All Western New York Team in 1982 for football.  He was inducted to St. Francis' Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.

After high school he attended Canisius College where he played two years of college football.  He graduated from Canisius with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

Currently George is employed as the Purchasing and Transportation Manager for NOCO Energy group in Tonawanda.

He has been married for 17 years to his lovely wife Mary Ann and they have four children Kristen, George, Kailey and Courtney who currently attend Saint John Vianney School.

George has been very involved in the athletic program at the school.  He coaches numerous sports including, baseball, basketball, and track.  He currently serves as the school's athletic director and is in charge of organizing the numerous sports the school has to offer.

George is also a member of the Holy Name Society of the parish, serves on the school's advisory board, and is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council.

He is also active in his community as he coaches Little League football, softball, and baseball for the town of West Seneca.

George's belief in Catholic Education is that Saint John Vianney School not only strives to be the best academically, but also puts a strong emphasis on living the Catholic faith at home as well.
